Meldle is a free daily word puzzle. Every day you get twelve short letter fragments and three hidden melds — two-letter pairs. Each meld slots into four of the fragments to complete four everyday words, so one puzzle is three melds and twelve words. It's a quick daily brain teaser in the spirit of Wordle and Connections, with its own twist: the two letters can land anywhere in the word — the start, middle, or end.
To meld means to blend or merge two things into one whole. (Fittingly, the word “meld” is itself a meld — of “melt” and “weld.”) In Meldle, a meld is the two-letter pair you blend into a fragment to finish a word: drop CH into AIR and you get CHAIR; drop that same CH into SPEE and you get SPEECH.
Find the three melds hidden in the day's twelve fragments. Tap the four fragments you think share a meld, type the two letters, and lock it in. Solve all three groups with as few mistakes as possible, then share your result or challenge a friend. A new Meldle unlocks every day at midnight UTC — and you can replay past puzzles in the archive.
